Cuero y Salado Wild life refuge is located next to La Ceiba on the sunny Caribbean coast. The area forms a triangle encompassed by the Cuero and Salado rivers, it’s composed of a complex series of salt water and fresh water wetlands. Fifteen river basins originating from the beautiful "Nombre de Dios Mountain". It also protects a great quantity of animal species, among them the manatee.

A visit to this beautiful vegetation and animal sanctuary is something that the tourist can’t miss. The trip is really exhilarating because any animal can show up just about anywhere.
