Cuero
y Salado Wild life refuge is located next to La Ceiba on the sunny
Caribbean coast. The area forms a triangle encompassed by the
Cuero and Salado rivers, its composed of a complex series
of salt water and fresh water wetlands. Fifteen river basins originating
from the beautiful "Nombre de Dios Mountain". It also
protects a great quantity of animal species, among them the manatee.
